This was a live project by Focal Point Gallery & Big Screen Southend to create their new visual identity to be displayed as the info slides/idents before each of the content blocks they show in the Big Screen.

Following their guidelines, I kept most of the content they had originally and made minor changes to the layout, as I felt it worked well already. Their logo moved to fit in with the illustrations and the typeface was chosen for it's legibility in both case combinations and because of the imperfections on the lines, giving it a hand rendered look even though it's a serif, plus it matched the seaside vibe nicely!

The maritime theme was a hint to the seaside city of Southend and since the gallery offers workshops for children and exhibits their works there, I thought of representing these young artists with 'crayon-made' drawings, as if they had done it themselves.
