This task got us to look at magazine covers' layouts to understand the function of the grid, the hierarchy and distribution of the elements on the cover, as well as the importance of white space and margins.

We had to choose a magazine to extract the layout from, for which I chose an "All about History" bookazine, to then design a magazine cover around SPAM -the brief's theme- including text and image of our choice, using that same layout.

The reason for having Bruce Campbell (as Ash Williams from "Ash vs Evil Dead") on the cover is because I used this task as a development from the celebrity comparison task, where we had to choose a famous person to represent our brand and make it into an advert. If you follow him you'd agree with me that Mr. Campbell could sell you literally anything, he's got a wicked sense of humor and I genuinelly find him hilarious, so why not!?
